The super GT range was introduced in 1985 by Matchbox in Europe to compete with the low quality diecast models dumped into the market by Far East manufactures. A range of forty models were planned but in actuality only twenty models were released. All of the twenty models were the re-issues from the obsolete models. In order to keep the cost low, Matchbox decided to remove the interior from the model and instead of a transparent windows black windows were fitted. Also, the models no longer had opening features. These models came with thousands of different color and tempo variations. In the beginning the models were made in England and then later on some variations were made in China. All these models were individually packed in blister cards. Here is a list of all the models but without the variations listed.
